1) Organising Authority:
The Organising Authority is Roadford Lake Sailing Club in conjunction with the British Finn Association.

2) Rules:
2.1 The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules Sailing 2009-2012, the RLSC Sailing Instructions, the Finn Class Rules and this NOR.

3) Eligibility and Entry:
The regatta is open to International Finn Masters who are current members of the IFA.
Saturday and Sunday are open to all International Finn sailors. Boats may be entered by completing an entry form available from the BFA and RLSC websites.

4) Entry fee:
The entry fee will be £60 for Masters entries and £40 for Non Masters for the weekend Open Event.

5) Advertising:
In accordance with ISAF regulation 20.3 (d) (i), boats shall display on each side of the bow while racing any advertising supplied by the event organiser at registration.

6) Registration:

This will take place in the Race Office from 17:00 - 20:00 hrs Thursday 9th,  09:00 - 11:00 hrs Friday 10th, and from 08:30 - 09:15 hrs Saturday 11th Sept.

7) Briefing:
This will take place at 10:00 hrs in the area of the lakeside hut on Friday 10th and at 09:00 hrs on Saturday 11th.

8) Schedule of Races:    

Friday: Time of First Warning Signal; 11:55 hrs

Saturday: Time of First Warning Signal; 10:25 hrs

Sunday: Time of First Warning Signal; 10:55 hrs

The Warning signal will be the Finn Class Flag. The Race Committee may bring forward a race or races but there will be no more than 4 races per day. Any change to the schedule of races will be made before 19:00 hrs on the preceding day. There will be no warning signal after 15:00 hrs on the last day except for a general recall.

9) Sailing area and courses:

The sailing area will be on Roadford Lake. Courses sailed will be either triangle / sausage or windward/leeward courses.

10) Certificates:
All competing boats shall hold a valid measurement certificate, which may be required to be shown at registration.

11) Sailing Instructions:
These will be available from the Race Office on completion of registration or from the RLSC and the BFA websites.

12) Scoring:

Three completed races are required to constitute a series. One discard will apply if between 4 and 6 races are completed and two discards if 7 races are completed.

13) Support Boats:
Each coach/support boat must be identified by national flag, 3 letter country code, or ISCA flag at all times while on the water. All boats must be registered with the Roadford Watersports Centre.

14) Safety and Disclaimer of Liability:
14.1 A competitor is responsible for their own safety, whether afloat or ashore and nothing, whether in the Notice of Race or Sailing instructions or anywhere else reduces this responsibility.

14.2 It is for the competitor to decide whether they are fit to sail in the conditions. By going afloat the competitor confirms they are fit and competent to sail and compete in those conditions.

14.3 Nothing done by the organisers can reduce the liability of the competitor nor will it make the organisers responsible for any loss, damage, death or personal injury, however it may occur, as a result of the boat taking part in the series. The organisers encompass everyone helping to run the race and include the organising authority, the race committee, the race officer, patrol boats and beach masters.

14.4 The provision of patrol boats does not relieve the competitor of his/her responsibilities.

14.5 Each boat is required to hold adequate insurance and in particular against third party claims of at least £2,000,000.

15) Boat Parking:
Boats should be left in the boat park, or as directed by a member of the event organising team.

16) Car Parking:

Cars should be parked in the car park as directed. No cars in the boat park please.

17) Prize-giving:
This will be in the area of the Watersports Centre as soon as possible after completion of racing on Sunday.

18) Changes to Sailing Instructions:
All changes will be posted at least two hours before the start of the race(s) affected.
